Practiced for centuries by cultures around the world — including Ayurvedic and Chinese medicine systems — detoxification is about resting, cleansing and nourishing the body from the inside out.
It’s always a good idea to allow our bodies to rest. While getting enough rest on a daily is part of this process, it’s not all there is to it. Sleeping eight hours a day doesn’t guarantee that our internal organs are as healthy as they should be and function as we expect them to.
